Senior Interior Architect (Hospitality)

About The Role:

A highly respected, design-led architecture and interiors studio in New York City is seeking a Senior Hospitality Interior Architect to join its growing team. The studio is recognized for its thoughtful, concept-driven environments across hospitality, wellness, workplace, and retail projects, and is known for close client collaboration and beautifully executed, detail-rich work.

This position is suited for an experienced designer ready to take the lead on complex hospitality projects, with the autonomy to drive them from initial concept to final delivery. You will influence both the creative direction and technical execution, ensuring each project is realized to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead hospitality and commercial interior projects through all phases, from concept design to construction completion
  • Oversee project planning, schedules, and consultant coordination to ensure seamless delivery
  • Direct the development of interior design concepts, storytelling, and experiential journeys
  • Manage production of high-quality Revit models and comprehensive construction documentation
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, guiding communication, approvals, and design alignment
  • Coordinate with engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee permitting, landlord review processes, and regulatory submissions as required
  • Maintain design intent during construction through shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site coordination
  • Guide FF&E strategy, selection, procurement, and installation for hospitality and commercial interiors
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, design-driven studio culture

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
  • Approximately 8+ years of post-graduate experience in architecture or interior design
  • Proven experience delivering hospitality and commercial interior projects through all project phases
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and experience with Enscape; strong construction documentation expertise required
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel
  • Experience with FF&E specification, vendor coordination, and installation oversight
  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes and permitting processes
  • Exceptional design sensibility paired with technical precision and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment
