Architectural Designer (Temp/Contract)

About The Role:

We are working with a well-regarded New York-based architecture studio to find an Architectural Designers to join their team.

The practice is known for its thoughtful, design-driven approach, working across a diverse portfolio of projects including cultural, commercial and mixed-use work. Their projects are conceptually strong, highly collaborative, and grounded in both design rigor and technical delivery. With a growing pipeline of work, the studio is continuing to expand its team as part of a steady and considered growth phase.

There is an immediate hiring need with roles starting on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to work with a respected studio and contribute to meaningful, design-focused work.

You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team where ideas are shared openly, and designers are encouraged to take ownership of their work. The studio supports growth and development, with exposure across all project phases and the opportunity to contribute to both concept and execution. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, design-focused practice and play a key role in shaping projects within a supportive studio environment.

This role is 5 days in office in New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of projects from concept through to delivery
• Produce clear, well-crafted drawings, models and presentation materials
• Collaborate closely with project teams and consultants
• Support the development of design ideas while maintaining technical accuracy
• Assist in coordinating project information across different stages

Key Skills / Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional experience in architecture (strong candidates outside this range also considered)
• Strong design sensibility with attention to detail and materiality
• Experience working in design-led studios
• Proficiency in Revit is a must, with Rhino or visualization tools, beneficial
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
