Working on groundbreaking, high-profile projects across the UK and internationally, our client is looking for a Technology Specialist to join its forward-thinking, collaborative London-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology, AI and innovation within the design space. Working alongside a talented team of architects, designers and specialists, you will play a key role in developing digital capabilities across BIM, Revit, Unreal Engine and computational design, exploring new approaches to parametric modelling, automation and emerging technologies.

Our client is open to candidates at different stages of their careers, from technically strong individuals looking to develop their expertise to more experienced specialists seeking greater scope to innovate and influence. There’s real opportunity to shape the role around your strengths, bring forward new ideas and become a trusted technical resource across the practice.

  • Act as a go-to technical resource for Revit and BIM, providing guidance, troubleshooting and support to project teams.
  • Develop and improve BIM standards, Revit templates, families and workflows, supporting consistency across projects.
  • Contribute to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), model management, coordination and information management in line with industry standards, including ISO 19650.
  • Explore and develop computational design approaches to solve project-specific challenges using Grasshopper, Dynamo and other visual scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers and the wider technology team to develop bespoke scripts, tools and workflows that improve efficiency and enhance design processes.
  • Support the integration of computational design and Revit workflows, including parametric modelling, optimisation studies and environmental analysis.
  • Contribute to real-time visualisation workflows using Unreal Engine and/or Twinmotion, including model exports where relevant.
  • Research emerging technologies, AI applications and data-driven design methods, identifying opportunities to improve how the practice works.
  • Take ownership of ideas from exploration through to implementation, supporting colleagues in adopting new tools and sharing knowledge across the studio.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Experience working within an architecture, design or built-environment practice, with an interest in the intersection of design and technology.
  • Strong Revit knowledge, with the confidence to troubleshoot issues, advise colleagues and improve existing workflows.
  • Experience developing or maintaining BIM standards, templates, families and project workflows, alongside an understanding of BIM best practice and information management.
  • Experience producing or contributing to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Experience with Grasshopper and/or Dynamo, with an interest in applying computational design and parametric modelling to real project challenges.
  • A proactive, analytical and forward-thinking approach, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across disciplines, share knowledge and support the adoption of new technologies.

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), clash detection and model coordination.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and wider BIM information management processes.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and/or Twinmotion, including Datasmith workflows.
  • Familiarity with Climate Studio and/or Ladybug for environmental analysis.
  • Coding or scripting experience using Python, C# or the Revit API.
  • An interest in AI, generative design, automation and emerging technologies within architecture and design.
