Bid Assistant

The Role:

An international engineering company are looking for an organised and engaging Bid Assistant to join their friendly London office. Within this role, you’ll support the bids team and wider teams with bids and internal systems to make sure the team are outputting the best content possible. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in bids who has previous exposure to bids and/or has helped with a project or team organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly assist bid team with outgoing bids by collating documents, CVs, project sheets and imagery
  • Closely liaise with the wider support team, regularly updating the CV library, ensuring all information is kept up to date
  • Work with the marketing team to input bid content into the image library
  • Assist bid team with the internal organisation of bid information
  • Work with copywriting team on collating new project sheets and inputting new information into the internal system
  • Update bid stage/progress changes in the internal system, ensuring information is kept up to date
  • Join bid team meetings to keep on top of updates and communicate changes on your side with reporting/organisation/etc.
  • Work with project operations and finance teams to ensure fee information is correct and update changes accordingly
  • Help with bid performance reports and cleaning out information that is no longer necessary to store
  • Assist bid teams with other bid-related tasks as needed

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience with coordinating information and working to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internal reporting systems and InDesign
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Efficient in information reporting using spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to work alongside multiple team members and have a self-starter, team-focused attitude
  • Positive, proactive and communicative with the ability to problem solve
  • Copywriting and editing skills preferred
  • Previous experience within an architecture practice, engineering company or construction company preferred.
