Business Development Manager

The Role: 

A successful high-end interior design studio is seeking a successful Business Development Manager to join their friendly team. The award-winning studio are well-known for their luxury residential projects and offer a unique and seamless experience to clients.

In this role, you’ll lead across new business and client relationship development, fee proposals, managing the new business team, and strategising with the studio’s leadership team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong business development experience in the interior design industry to further thrive in a supportive, resourceful and noteworthy business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new business opportunities and client/industry relationships
  • Lead the work winning process by creating strategy, sourcing opportunities, performing analysis and negotiating with clients across private residential and commercial development
  • Manage the new business team, overseeing workloads and line managing members as needed
  • Implement and lead a system and structure that ensures thorough CRM protocol and systems are in place
  • Provide strategic input to CEO and Board of Directors whilst working with directors on future business planning
  • Manage new business pipeline, leveraging client data/analytics to create strategy
  • Attend industry events and secure meetings with potential clients
  • Closely liaise with the marketing team to spearhead industry events/new business opportunities
  • Conduct industry analysis to assess the viability of new opportunities
  • Create new business proposals for client briefs and fee proposals
  • Liaise with design, operations, accounts, and marketing teams to ensure proper information is collated for client proposals
  • Manage new business budgets and suggest improvements or changes of budgets for further new business opportunities
  • Attend internal finance meetings to present pipeline and leads

Key Skills:

  • Successful and proven business development experience within the interior design industry/built environment
  • Strong understanding of UK and Middle East property markets
  • Fruitful and solid relationships with target clients
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude with the ability to motivate others
  • A strong ethos and ethical approach to work winning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
