Director of Project Operations
About the Role:
The Crowd is partnered with a highly regarded, boutique architecture and design studio known for delivering beautifully considered luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects across the US and internationally.
As the studio continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Director of Project Operations to join their leadership team and play a key role in the next stage of the practice.
Working closely with the Principal, you will have oversight across the studio’s project portfolio, bringing clarity to schedules, resources and priorities while supporting Project Managers and ensuring teams have what they need to deliver exceptional work.
This is much more than a traditional project management position. You will have the opportunity to influence how the studio operates, develop people, improve processes and become a trusted member of the senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple projects across the studio, maintaining visibility of schedules, resources, deadlines and deliverables
- Work closely with the Principal to anticipate project needs, identify potential challenges and keep teams moving effectively
- Lead, mentor and support Project Managers and wider project teams
- Develop and improve studio workflows, processes and communication to strengthen project delivery
- Maintain senior-level relationships with clients, consultants and collaborators across complex, design-led projects
Key Skills / Requirements:
- Significant experience within architecture, interior architecture or design, ideally across luxury hospitality and/or high-end residential projects
- Proven experience overseeing multiple complex projects and teams simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, scheduling, resourcing and budgets
- Confident and collaborative leader with experience mentoring and developing project teams
- Highly organized, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to bring structure while thriving in a creative, fast-moving studio environment
