HR Manager

The Role:

A prestigious and sought-after architecture practice are looking for a HR Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract (MAT cover) at their office in central London. This multidisciplinary and well-established studio has a solid name in the UK architecture industry and takes a people-focused approach to design.

Within this role, you will report directly to directors and work strategically with the team through their transitioning period of reaching new heights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for moving things forward across areas of people strategy, training and development, implementation of new policies and procedures and be confident in making recommendations for positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular reports to the board on HR activity and performance metrics
  • Serve as primary HR contact, offering guidance and support to staff
  • Manage HR budget
  • Lead all aspects of employee on/off boarding
  • Spearhead recruitment efforts
  • Develop and implement performance review processes to foster employee development
  • Coordinate onboarding and training programs, ensuring smooth integration and skill development
  • Lead annual salary reviews, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Develop and manage benefits packages
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, updating policies as needed
  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve positive outcomes and be an active knowledge sharer

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including team management
  • CIPD accreditation
  • Strong understanding of UK employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Approachable, friendly and positive approach
  • Ability to manage diverse tasks and meet deadlines
