Interiors Studio Manager (Commercial Design)
About The Role:
A globally established design and architecture practice is seeking an experienced Interiors Studio Manager to join their Los Angeles office. With a strong reputation across the commercial and corporate sectors, the firm delivers high-quality commercial interiors and fit-out projects across a diverse portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Project Manager, Associate, or established design leader to take on a key leadership role within the LA Interiors studio. Working closely with the local Principal and senior leadership team, the Interiors Studio Manager will help lead the team, oversee project delivery, strengthen client relationships, and support the continued growth of the studio. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in commercial interior design or interior architecture, with a strong understanding of technical project delivery, project management, team leadership, and project financials. They should also be a confident, personable representative of the firm who is comfortable building relationships with clients and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the continued growth and development of the LA Interiors studio
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to interior design and project management teams
- Oversee multiple commercial interiors and fit-out projects, ensuring successful delivery across all phases
- Manage project schedules, budgets, fees, forecasts, and overall financial performance
- Review project documentation and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure projects are delivered to a high technical and design standard
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, leading meetings, presentations, and ongoing project communications
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat and new business
- Support the preparation of proposals, RFQs, and RFPs, contributing to business development efforts
- Coordinate with other disciplines and consultants throughout the design and documentation process
Key Skills / Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience within commercial interior design, interior architecture, or architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
- Strong background in commercial interiors, workplace, corporate, retail, or related fit-out projects
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and foster long-term partnerships
- Proven experience managing projects from design through documentation and delivery, with a strong understanding of technical project execution
- Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager, Associate, Studio Manager, or in a comparable leadership position
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing project teams
- Confident leading client meetings, presentations, and project discussions
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to review and coordinate drawing sets and project documentation
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; strong Revit knowledge is preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- NCIDQ certification or professional registration is preferred
- Experience with business development and an established local network
