Intermediate Architect

The Role:

A global, leading architecture practice is seeking a skilled Intermediate Architect to join their busy NY office. In this role, you will plan, design and strategize complex commercial projects throughout all design phases. This is a BIM-centered position and the successful candidate will be proficient in using Revit and Rhino and will have applicable project experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on international, complex, large-scale commercial projects on all project phases
  • Contribute to presentation production and content to communicate design intent throughout the design phases
  • Participate in applying sustainable design to work toward LEED and other certifications
  • Create 3D models and renderings to communicate design intent
  • On smaller projects, be involved in project management needs such as scheduling, budgets and coordination
  • Contribute to facade and building envelope design and research

Key Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture
  • Civic, cultural, hospitality, multifamily or other commercial project experience is essential to this role
  • Good knowledge of construction practices, detailing, and building code
  • Comfortable with concept development and ideation
  • Some experience in all project phases
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to participate in client-facing presentations and meetings
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino and the Adobe Suite is essential to this role
  • Other BIM proficiencies would be a plus
