Landlord Project Manager
About The Role:
The Crowd is excited to be partnering with a highly respected architecture and design studio in San Francisco known for its leadership in elevated workplace and asset repositioning projects. With a strong foothold in the Bay Area market, this firm has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, design-forward landlord and developer work that enhances building value and attracts top-tier tenants. They are now seeking a Landlord Project Manager to join their growing team.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced interiors-focused Project Manager who understands the nuances of working directly with building ownership groups, property managers, and leasing teams. Unlike traditional corporate workplace roles, this position requires a deep understanding of asset-driven design, speculative suites, tenant improvements, amenities, and ongoing building repositioning efforts. The ideal candidate will bring both strong technical architectural expertise and sharp financial acumen – someone who can manage profitability, lead small teams, and serve as a trusted partner across multiple assets.
The firm offers a collaborative, forward-thinking culture with strong mentorship and long-term growth opportunities. A competitive compensation and benefits package is provided, along with flexibility and a supportive studio environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple landlord-driven interior projects across active building portfolios, including speculative suites, tenant improvements, and amenity upgrades
- Serve as the primary liaison between ownership groups, property managers, leasing brokers, and internal design teams
- Oversee full project lifecycle responsibilities including budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, consultant coordination, and profitability tracking
- Lead and mentor small project teams while maintaining deep knowledge of building-specific standards, systems, and constraints
- Allocate billable time effectively across active projects, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery
Key Skills / Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in interior architecture with a strong focus on landlord/developer-led commercial office projects
- Demonstrated experience working directly with major building ownership groups
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience contributing to drawing sets and understanding interior detailing and building systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple assets or account-based portfolios while maintaining financial oversight and client relationships
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating independently – this is a hands-on PM role, not a purely administrative position
