Marketing Director (Architecture)

About The Role:

The Crowd is partnering with a well-established, design-focused architecture studio in Los Angeles that is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Marketing Director to lead pursuits and elevate the office’s business development efforts. This is a senior-level, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating closely with leadership to shape compelling, competitive submissions.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience within the AEC/design industry and understands how to position creative teams effectively across public and private sector opportunities. This role requires a strong writer, an exceptional organizer, and a confident communicator who can balance big-picture strategy with meticulous execution. You will serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders, guiding pursuit strategy while ensuring all materials are delivered at the highest standard.

This is a Los Angeles–based opportunity offering competitive compensation and strong long-term growth potential within a collaborative, design-driven studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of RFQ/RFP pursuits, including strategy development, content creation, team coordination, and final production.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape messaging, define team structure, and position the firm competitively.
  • Oversee the development of interview presentations, project sheets, resumes, award submissions, and other marketing collateral.
  • Maintain and manage CRM systems, tracking leads, consultant relationships, and active pursuits.
  • Support broader brand and visibility initiatives, including conference materials, speaking opportunities, and communications efforts.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 6+ years of marketing experience within architecture, engineering, design, or related professional services.
  • Proven track record managing multiple concurrent pursuits in deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint required).
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and in close partnership with senior leadership.
