Office Manager
The Role:
Our client, a high-end interior design firm with global reach and a specialization in hospitality projects, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to spearhead behind-the-scenes administrative support for their friendly team of designers. As the Office Manager, you would be responsible for managing IT, health + safety standards, office maintenance, and general housekeeping. The position reports directly to the COO and oversees one receptionist, and the right candidate for the job will play a critical role in ensuring that all behind-the-scenes operations within the studio are running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain accurate records
- Manage the studio’s IT systems including troubleshooting, updating software, and liaising with IT contractors when needed
- Manage the receptionist and help find receptionist coverage when needed
- Ensure the studio is clean and well-maintained at all times, liaising with cleaning staff when needed
- Maintain accurate office records and manage budgets for office-related activities
- Liaise across departments, as well as with external vendors, to ensure the office is well-resourced
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required by the COO
Key Skills:
- Someone with significant previous administration experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Someone comfortable being a point of contact and multitasking within a busy office
- Familiarity with IT systems and software is highly beneficial for the role
- Adaptable and open-minded team-player with a knack for troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Someone with previous experience leading a team and holding folks accountable
