Practice Manager

The Role:

We are working with a London-based architecture practice looking for an experienced and proactive Practice Manager to lead their team and manage the day-to-day running of the practice, in all aspects of the business.

Working closely with the Senior Team, you will develop and deliver new strategies to facilitate improvement towards business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial elements including projections, cashflow and billing
  • Collaborate with the finance coordinator in updating and maintaining financial information
  • Report to the directors and senior team on a monthly basis
  • Oversee project fee agreements
  • Set yearly budgets
  • Manage monthly CMAP reviews, providing frequent project analysis to the Senior Team
  • Liaise with accountants
  • Manage bank accounts
  • Line managing two members of the studio team
  • Manage all HR matters to maintain supportive culture and team welfare
  • Collaborate with the senior team on resource management for all projects
  • Manage annual performance and salary reviews
  • Manage recruitment process updating job descriptions and adverts as required
  • Oversee all operations within the practice, offering support and guidance to the team
  • Liaise with IT consultants for software and licencing arrangements, monitoring costs and processes
  • Manage annual insurance renewals providing certification when there is a new business proposal
  • Report to the Directors and Senior Team on all operations matters

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role within the creative industry
  • Previous experience in managing financial elements of business
  • Knowledge of HR and Operations management
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to confidently communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain, promote and develop opportunities for the team’s individual growth
  • Essential to have experience with CMAP or similar
