Project Accountant
The Role:
A prominent global architecture practice is currently in search of a Project Accountant to join their dynamic and collaborative team in London.
Within this role, you will assume responsibility for managing and analysing the financial accounts of the practices’ projects and business operations. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional organisational skills and a strong passion for ensuring the financial well-being of assigned projects throughout their entire life cycle, from project due diligence to client invoicing and collections.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the senior team to ensure accurate billing and financial reporting for projects and the studio
- Review project budgets and staffing plans
- Manage invoicing as per contract terms and coordinating consultant payments
- Analyse project spending, offering valuable insights to project and office leadership
- Monitor metrics for healthy business practices
- Assist in project start-up and adherence to best practices
- Support Design Managers in labour and expense reviews for accuracy
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and aid in collection efforts
- Provide financial training to the design team
- Maintain organised project contract files and serve as a financial liaison between teams
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working in project accounting within a professional service practice, ideally architecture or design-related
- Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with Deltek Vision software and Tableau Data Application is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Openness to adopt new technologies
- Confident working independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
