Project Accountant
About The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most prestigious names in the architecture world! Our client, a globally renowned and highly sought-after architecture studio is seeking a Project Accountant to join their dynamic team in London.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be partnering with Project Leads on all aspects of project finances, including budgeting, risk management, invoicing, and financial tracking. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of experienced Project Accountants based in London, supporting major international projects.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from the built environment sector, with strong Excel skills and experience with Deltek highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with other Project Leads and collaborate with other PA’s to ensure accurate billing, financial tracking, and reporting across large scale projects
- Review budgets, staffing plans, and French contracts to align fees with scope and ensure compliance
- Support project setup, invoicing, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project health metrics and lead studio-level financial reviews and reporting
- Coordinate consultant billing, track project costs, and manage accounts receivable follow-ups
- Deliver financial training to project teams and maintain organized project financial documentation
- Act as the liaison between studio, project teams, and corporate accounting to ensure consistency and accuracy
Key Skills/Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar
- Previous project accounting experience, ideally within the built environment or professional services business
- Fluency in French is highly advantageous but not essential
- Strong understanding of contract fee structures and financial compliance
- Advanced Excel skills (experience with Deltek Vision and Tableau a plus)
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective communicator and collaborator
- Comfortable adopting new technologies and improving processes
