Project Manager
About the Role:
Our client is a nationally recognized architecture and design practice known for delivering thoughtful, technically excellent projects that enhance the human experience. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager with approximately 8–15 years of professional experience to join their San Francisco studio. This role is ideal for an architect or designer who thrives on leading complex projects, guiding teams, and driving the delivery of exceptional work from concept through completion.
You will work closely with clients, consultants, and an accomplished internal team to manage design, documentation, and execution. This position offers a clear pathway to senior leadership within a collaborative studio culture that values both creativity and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from concept through construction, ensuring design intent, schedule, and budget alignment
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented environment
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining communication and building long-term relationships
- Oversee consultant coordination, permitting, and construction administration activities
- Guide internal teams in producing detailed documentation and ensuring technical accuracy
- Monitor project budgets, contracts, and schedules, proactively identifying risks and opportunities
- Contribute to studio leadership initiatives, mentoring staff and supporting professional development
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to the firm’s design and technical standards
Key Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 8–15 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong focus on project management
- Licensure preferred
- Proven ability to manage large-scale commercial, civic, or institutional projects
- Deep understanding of design process, construction documentation, and technical coordination
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with project management tools
- Confident in client-facing roles and experienced in consultant coordination
- Ability to balance creative vision with technical and financial constraints
