Resource Manager

The Role:

We are working with a prestigious and cutting-edge international architecture studio who are hiring an experienced Resource Manager to join their team. 

This role will oversee resource programming and forecasting for the London studio.

Ideally, the role would suit an experienced Resource Manager or an architect who has moved into the area of Project Management.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead weekly resource meetings with Associate Principal and Senior Management
  • Weekly sessions with the Project Management Team to review projects and resource against budgets 
  • Inputting and updating project resource plans into project management software ‘CMAP.’ 
  • Create resource schedules for bids and competitions 
  • Regular overviews of project health with the Project Management Team and Finance Team 
  • Meet as required with Project Directors to understand their project needs and give feedback to Associate Principal 
  • Understand staff capabilities and experiences to resource effectively. 
  • Proactively find solutions to resource issues, and present these to the Associate Principal 
  • Ensure projects are not over-resourced and are operating within budget 
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate information for recruiting and forward-planning.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role 
  • Experience with Resource Management ideally within architecture / the built environment 
  • Strong understanding of commercial aspects of an architectural or built environment practice 
  • Understanding of project stages, workplans, fees and resourcing 
  • Knowledge of CMAP or similar project management/resourcing programmes. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Rigorous and driven, with meticulous attention to detail 
  • Flexible and agile thinker 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise 
  • Personable and collaborative, with the ability to interface with all within the Practice 
  • Thorough knowledge of Office Suite
