Senior Architectural Designer

About the Role:

A highly regarded, design-led architecture studio in New York City is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join its close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior, hands-on role within a small practice known for thoughtful, well-crafted work across high-end residential and boutique commercial projects.

The studio operates in a collaborative, calm, and highly engaged environment, where everyone is closely involved in the full life of a project. This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, contributing to design discussions, and seeing projects through from early concept to completion.

You’ll work closely with the principals, play a key role in the day-to-day running of projects, and act as a steady presence in the studio, supporting and mentoring more junior team members as the practice continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from concept design through documentation and delivery
• Produce and coordinate detailed architectural drawing sets
• Work closely with principals, consultants, and clients
• Support and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, approachable way
• Contribute to design development, detailing, and problem solving across multiple projects

Key Skills / Requirements:

• 7–10 years of professional architectural experience
• Strong architectural background with a high level of technical proficiency
• Experience working in small or design-led studios
• Confident producing and coordinating drawing sets (AutoCAD required; Revit experience beneficial)
• Calm, collaborative personality with a hands-on mindset
