Senior Landscape Designer / Project Manager

About the Role:

The Crowd are partnered with a highly regarded, design-led landscape studio seeking a talented Senior Landscape Designer / Project Manager to join their collaborative Los Angeles team.

Working on an exceptional portfolio of luxury private residences across Southern California, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to combine strong design with genuine project ownership. You’ll work closely with the studio’s principals, lead projects from concept through construction and manage relationships with discerning private clients, architects, consultants and contractors.

The successful person will have plenty of autonomy, support from a talented design team and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as they grow within the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of luxury residential landscape projects through all phases, from concept and design development through construction
  • Develop thoughtful design concepts, planting palettes, material selections and presentation packages alongside the studio principals
  • Act as the key day-to-day contact for clients, architects, consultants, contractors and vendors
  • Manage and mentor junior designers, delegating work and overseeing project documentation and deliverables
  • Attend site visits, review construction progress and ensure the quality and design intent of each project is maintained

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional landscape design experience, ideally including high-end private residential projects
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating excellent design sensibility and attention to detail
  • Proven experience managing projects and the confidence to work directly with sophisticated private clients
  • Good knowledge of Southern California planting, materials, site conditions and the technical requirements of delivering landscape projects
  • Strong AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills, with SketchUp experience beneficial
