Senior Marketing Specialist

The Role:

Our client, an established firm with multiple locations and a specialization in large civic and commercial projects, is seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join their NYC team.

This role is quite well-rounded and is well-suited to a candidate with a background in architecture, construction, or design as well as previous experience in a marketing or communications role. Day-to-day in this position would include championing the proposal-writing process from start to finish, working with the broader team on PR and social media initiatives, and developing creative strategies that position the firm competitively in the market. This is a great opportunity for someone with expert communication skills, working knowledge of architecture and design, and the ability to create strong written and visual narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the proposal writing process through research and writing
• Oversee the creation of graphic materials across a variety of projects typologies
• Develop timelines for the completion of proposals packages and help manage team members to ensure timely completion
• Work with PR team to prep designers for interviews and identify opportunities for further press outreach
• Oversee social media output and coordinate with team members to ensure the firm brand is communicated effectively
• Support firm-wide marketing initiatives as needed including brochures, pamphlets, and internal collateral
• Perform ongoing market research and maintain close communication with designers and practice leaders to stay on top of leads and opportunities for new business

Key Skills:

• Significant previous experience in a marketing, communications, or business development role
• Previous experience drafting proposals for new work within the A/E/C space
• Strong working knowledge of architecture and design, as well as the ability to work closely with designers across different project typologies
• Previous experience with social media, PR, or graphic design is highly beneficial but not required
• Ability to create quality work to deadline with minimal oversight
• A team-oriented personality, passion for design, and strong entrepreneurial spirit!
