Senior Medical Planner

About The Role:

We are working with a leading national architecture and design firm who are looking for a Senior Medical Planner to join their growing healthcare team in Atlanta.

The ideal candidate will have experience planning healthcare environments across a range of project types, with a strong understanding of clinical operations and patient-centered design. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver thoughtful, efficient spaces that meet both operational needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead medical planning efforts on healthcare projects, from early visioning through design development
• Develop space programs, planning diagrams, and clinical workflows aligned with project goals
• Collaborate with clients, user groups, consultants, and project teams to drive planning solutions
• Support documentation and compliance efforts, including FGI guidelines and code requirements
• Participate in client presentations, user engagement sessions, and internal design reviews

Key Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in healthcare design and medical planning
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory codes
• Proficiency in Revit; experience with BIM360 and planning tools a plus
• Licensed Architect preferred; ACHA certification desirable but not required
• Collaborative communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
