Senior Project Manager

About The Role:

Our client, an award-winning design firm, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee project documentation, coordinate with consultants, and manage the construction process from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of architects and designers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions while demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a diverse portfolio of projects across the hospitality, high-end residential, retail, and cultural sectors, driving innovation and excellence throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft innovative and visionary design solutions, translating client requirements into functional and aesthetically captivating interior concepts
  • Lead and mentor teams by offering technical guidance, support, and constructive feedback, ensuring project goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met, while encouraging professional development
  • Supervise the development and review of architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, and related project documentation, ensuring precision, thoroughness, and adherence to project requirements
  • Oversee the construction phase, addressing on-site issues, reviewing construction and millwork shop drawings, and ensuring that the final built environment reflects the approved design and specifications accurately
  • Work in close partnership with FF&E designers, architects, engineers, and contractors to seamlessly integrate all project components into a cohesive design solution

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in interior design or architecture
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously from concept to completion
  • Proven experience in a variety of other project typologies such as high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and corporate spaces
  • Proficient in contract administration, with experience in managing consultant agreements, vendor relationships, and construction contracts
  • Expertise in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure project compliance throughout all phases
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E, joinery, detailing, and finishes, with the ability to manage and coordinate these elements in projects
  • Strong budgeting and cost management expertise, ensuring project costs align with financial constraints while maintaining design integrity
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and collaborate with diverse teams
