Senior Sustainability Consultant – International Masterplanning

The Role:

A large, prestigious and in-demand design company with a global presence are currently looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant with exposure to international masterplanning to join their London office.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in either the urban sector, utility infrastructure, energy/water efficiency, circular economy, transit-oriented development, building performance, outdoor thermal comfort, natural capital or net zero carbon strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead urban sustainability projects, particularly in large-scale masterplans
• Mentor junior team members and provide task leadership
• Produce technical guidance and analysis to shape sustainability strategies
• Deliver reports and presentations with high-quality visuals and grammar
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, engaging with planners, architects, and government agencies
• Develop external presentations for outreach and business growth
• Display your expertise in urban sustainability (urban resilience, energy efficiency, circular economy)
• Apply sustainable planning and design techniques relevant to construction/corporate strategies

Key Skills:

• International exposure is required with experience in master planning being a bonus
• Relevant degree in engineering, planning, architecture, or sustainability
• Qualifications in sustainability assessment (LEED, BREEAM)
• Experience in technical analysis and strategy development
• Effective communication, leadership and teamwork skills
• Familiar with sustainable planning and design techniques
• Passionate about environmental and social outcomes
