Senior Technical Designer

The Role:

A highly desirable and sought-after architecture and interior design practice is looking for a Senior Technical Designer with strong commercial experience to join their interiors team in their London office.

Known for their diverse portfolio of projects, our client is celebrated globally and are one of the leading names in the international design space. Innovation and sustainability are at the core of their projects so they are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking designer to be an integral part of the technical team and support and manage technical packages through all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the technical team expertise including technical detailing, NBS production, regulatory compliance, tender and construction packages
• Contribute to technical design reviews
• Assist with the development and management of drawing packages
• Work within a multi-disciplined environment whilst leading, assisting and coordinating projects through clash management
• Assist designers and architects in reviewing on site construction work

Key Skills:

• A degree in Architectural Technology or Architecture
• Strong Revit Proficiency with technical focus abilities
• Sound knowledge of all RIBA stages
• Excellent design and technical detailing skills
• Family creation and creation of schedules (Revit)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge and ability to undertake ongoing research of joinery, furniture systems, products, finishes and materials
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team
• Excellent client management skills
• Working knowledge of building regulations
