Lead Wayfinding Designer
About The Role:
The Crowd are working with an established and creative, multi-disciplinary design studio who are looking for a Lead Wayfinding Designer to join their growing, friendly team on a permanent basis.
Working across sectors such as urban realm, culture, events, sport, you will be responsible for managing a strong team of designers and take lead across wayfinding projects. You will work closely with the MD and assist in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, working strategically on gaining new business and company growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee complex design projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to briefs, timelines, and budgets
- Supervise the creation and quality control of designs, drawings, and specifications across all project phases
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional content showcasing our wayfinding work
- Coordinate with the team and partners to produce assets for active wayfinding projects
- Spearhead new business efforts, including bid generation, fee proposals, and tender submissions
- Cultivate business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with the team
- Manage multiple projects, including budget oversight, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Guide and inspire the design team, overseeing resource management and supporting recruitment
- Work with the Managing Director to implement the wayfinding strategy and assist in refining the wayfinding proposition
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Extensive experience leading wayfinding projects across diverse sectors
- Advanced technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience targeting new business opportunities
- Versatile in both independent and team-oriented work environments
- Friendly, approachable, and deeply passionate
- Skilled in juggling multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management
