Specification Specialist

About The Role:

The Crowd is excited to be partnering with a highly respected architecture practice known for delivering impactful, large-scale projects in healthcare, higher education, and science & technology. With a strong reputation for both design innovation and technical precision, this firm is seeking an experienced Specification Specialist to join their team.

The successful candidate will be a detail-driven and collaborative professional, skilled in developing and coordinating architectural specifications for complex projects. While Los Angeles–based applicants are preferred, exceptional remote candidates across the U.S. will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project specifications, ensuring alignment with design intent, codes, and industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to coordinate deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Research and recommend building materials, systems, and emerging technologies
  • Review consultant specifications for accuracy and consistency

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 7+ years of architectural specification experience on institutional or commercial projects
  • Strong knowledge of building codes – California expertise preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • CCS, CDT, or LEED certifications a plus
