Studio Leader (Public and Education Design)

About The Role:

A well-established, design-driven architecture practice is seeking a Studio Leader to head up its growing Education and Public sector team in Dallas.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the direction of a high-performing, cross-disciplinary studio, leading a team of talented designers, building meaningful client relationships, and guiding projects that positively impact communities across Texas and beyond.

The studio is known for its collaborative culture, low turnover, and long-standing client partnerships. You’ll step into a leadership role with autonomy, support, and a strong pipeline of work, ideal for someone ready to lead with purpose and drive real change.

If you’re a Principal or Senior Associate looking for the next big step, or a strategic thinker who’s ready to take on more responsibility, this is your opportunity to lead with vision and help shape the future of education design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of public and education sector projects, including learning environments and community spaces
  • Guide strategy on pursuits, proposals, and pitches alongside a supportive leadership team
  • Develop trusted relationships with school districts, civic partners, and public clients
  • Mentor and inspire a growing studio of architects and designers
  • Contribute to the overall growth, culture, and creative direction of the practice

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in architecture, with a focus on education, public, or civic work
  • A proven track record in client engagement, team leadership, and project delivery
  • Licensed architect preferred but not essential
  • Comfortable leading both people and strategy in a collaborative studio environment
  • Based in Dallas or open to relocating (relocation assistance available)
