Sustainability Manager

The Role:

An esteemed UK architectural practice are currently seeking a Sustainability Manager to join their South London office. They are renowned for undertaking ground-breaking projects on an international scale with a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

As the Sustainability Manager you will work closely with the Director to spearhead the implementation of sustainability into all aspects of projects across architecture, interior design and master planning sectors. You will be working with a creative and innovative team who are passionate about a tangible change for a green future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in setting and monitoring project sustainability targets
  • Facilitate in-house analysis of metrics like carbon, thermal performance, and daylight
  • Help project teams gather data and track performance
  • Promote sustainable design solutions to clients and partners
  • Research and recommend sustainable materials and systems
  • Lead post-occupancy studies for completed projects
  • Assist in creating building retrofit strategies
  • Shape the studio’s sustainable design vision and research approach
  • Represent the studio’s sustainability ethos at events and coordinate progress on their sustainability goals
  • Train staff on sustainability and conduct CPD sessions

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience working in house within an architecture practice
  • Proficient in sustainable design methods and architectural principles
  • Experience in gathering and examining project sustainability data
  • Proficiency in OneClick (or similar), InDesign & Microsoft packages
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strategic planning experience for setting and achieving sustainability goals
  • Knowledge of industry standards and partnerships
  • Efficient project management skills
